Washington Hospital Services Accepts ZeOmega® as an Industry Partner to Provide a Suite of Services for Members Seeking Health Information Exchange and Population Health Management Solutions
Association Chooses ZeOmega for its Proven Experience with Providers and Payers, and Successful Track Record as a Value-based Care Enabler
PLANO, Texas – June 19, 2015 – ZeOmega® Inc., the market leader in population health solutions, has become Washington Hospital Services’ (WHS) Industry Partner to accelerate awareness among the state’s hospitals of ZeOmega’s health information exchange (HIE), interoperability, and population health management (PHM) solutions.
Jiva™, ZeOmega’s HIE-enabled PHM solution, has been deployed at several payer and provider organizations in more than 20 states, plus the District of Columbia, and covers approximately 10 percent of the U.S. insured population. Additionally, ZeOmega has a long history of serving several payer and provider organizations in the state of Washington. WHS believes ZeOmega can realize great value for WHS’ member hospitals that are looking to position themselves to succeed in the world of value-based care.
WHS has a mission to look for beneficial business relationships for its member community. ZeOmega has been successful in the coordination of care and the sharing of data in both the payer and healthcare delivery arena. Therefore, it is the belief of WHS that a relationship with ZeOmega can be a resource to its members who are transitioning toward the new healthcare models.
WHS continues to expand member access to vetted vendors as it welcomes ZeOmega as one of its newest members in its Industry Partners program. ZeOmega offers population health and a platform for HIE, and is one of the few companies in existence that comes with experience and successful solutions for both payers and hospitals, as its offerings are currently being utilized by hospitals and health systems in the state of Washington.
Jiva’s HIE capabilities deliver ready connectivity to more than 35 of the industry’s leading ambulatory and acute care electronic health records (EHRs). Together with other capabilities ranging from patient resolution, referral management, patient consent services, analytics, care coordination workflow and patient engagement capabilities, Jiva is the industry’s first, proven and complete PHM solution stack that hospitals and provider organizations can leverage to drive value-based care not only within their organizations, but also within their communities.
“We are very pleased to partner with Washington Hospital Services in its endeavor to help its member hospitals succeed in the world of value-based care,” said Nandini Rangaswamy, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for ZeOmega. “Through this partnership we expect to empower hospitals and healthcare organizations with solutions that will help them move to value-based care – be it through bundled arrangements, risk carve-outs or other mechanisms. Given our strong presence in the state of Washington among both payer and provider organizations, we also seek to empower our clients to collaborate with one another. Our partnership with WHS aligns with this commitment to our clients.”
ZeOmega’s commitment is evident in the Washington community. As one of the many steps, ZeOmega is participating as a silver sponsor at the 39th Annual WSHA & AWPHD Rural Hospital Conference in Chelan, Washington, from June 21-24, 2015. ZeOmega is sponsoring one of the breakout sessions, “Leveraging Health Information Exchanges to Manage Community Health,” which includes presenters who will provide an inside look at how healthcare providers are working together to understand the communities they serve through health information exchanges. From governance to logistics, this session will provide attendees insight on how leveraging health data could change the way healthcare is delivered throughout their communities.
