ZeOmega’s Jiva becomes the first population health management solution to integrate with McKesson InterQual Connect

PLANO, Texas – May 24, 2016 – ZeOmega®Inc. today announced an agreement to integrate ZeOmega’s Jiva™ population health management solution with McKesson’s InterQual® Connect™ authorization and connectivity solution.

Jiva delivers high-value, strategic solutions enabling payers and care-delivery organizations to improve individual health and provider performance. McKesson InterQual Connect is the first cloud-based medical review service with authorization connectivity, ushering in a new streamlined approach to utilization management. When integrated into Jiva, the power of cloud connectivity is unleashed to give payers and providers an efficient workflow to automate authorization—all without ever leaving Jiva, making it fast, easy, and cost-effective to implement and deploy.

Currently, thousands of providers use their payer’s Jiva provider portal to submit authorization requests and medical necessity review. These organizations often also use McKesson’s InterQual® Criteria, as part of their internal care management and other clinical systems to help establish evidence-based appropriateness for the care they provide. Through this integration, providers can, with no additional effort, deliver to payers the same information they use internally to document evidence-based care. This not only eliminates redundant data entry and wastage of time for the provider, but also increases satisfaction because they are able to get real-time status information on their requests.
