Victoria Worthy joined HPSJ as the CIO in December 2022, with over 12 years of experience working with local health plans in California. Victoria has demonstrated abilities in both a technical and business operations capacity and is an advocate to bridge the gap that naturally exists between business and technology by leveraging operational knowledge of industry and business operations while staying abreast of information technology changes. During her tenure in the California Managed Medi-Cal space, she has developed extensive experience in managing various complex technical disciplines, project portfolio management, risk management, and process improvement.

Victoria has a master’s degree, PMP certification, and a Scrum certification. She is affiliated with several Boards, Associations, and Leadership programs which includes ACAP Leadership Academy, QNXT User Group, Project Management Institute (PMI), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and Women in Healthcare Information Technology (WHIT).

Rick Whitted is the President & Chief Executive Officer at U.S. Hunger, a global nonprofit whose mission is feeding families today and uniting them to a healthier tomorrow. In total, U.S. Hunger (USH) has provided over 150 million meals to families in need. Before his appointment as CEO in March 2020, Rick served on USH’s board of directors. Rick has overseen the launch of several of the organization’s initiatives: expanding home delivery of fresh produce into its supply chain, aligning its Full Cart® program with the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services’ (CMS) health equity framework; and developing a
Cloud-based SaaS solution that uses A.I. and Machine Learning to identify root causes of
food insecurity in the U.S. and provide real-time actionable intelligence on social
determinants of health (SDOH).

Rick is a graduate of Stetson University and Nova Southern University where he received a BA in Political Sciences/American Studies, and an MBA, Business Administration and Management, respectively. Prior to joining USH, he spent 27 multi-faceted years in banking, focusing on small business, government, and non profit banking. He is also an accomplished author and speaker with expertise in leadership, workplace culture, and individual and team development.

Karin VanZant is the Vice President of SDOH and Health Equity at Clearlink Partners, an industry-leading managed care consulting firm. Karin brings 27 years of experience working in and among low-income, underserved populations who depend on safety net benefits to help close critical service gaps and make ends meet. She is a nationally recognized thought leader in Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), playing an integral role in influencing the recent shift as healthcare systems moved to blend social care into healthcare delivery, allowing for improved quality outcomes and reduced healthcare spending.

Karin received both a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Masters of Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from Wright State University. Her prior experience includes time at CareSource, Think Tank, Inc. and teaching at Wright State University and Antioch University Midwest.

Karen Iapoce, Chief Nursing Officer at ZeOmega, has 30+ years’ experience in strategic healthcare. Karen is a clinical leader, trainer, and liaison experienced in driving innovations in quality, products, metrics, revenue, and cost. She has expertise in Medicaid, Medicare, Social Determinants of Health, and federal/state regulations and their application within payer/provider environments.
