Steven R. Peskin, MD, MBA, MACP is CEO of SRP Advisors


Steven R. Peskin, MD, MBA, MACP is Chief Executive Officer of SRP Advisors, where he advises leading organizations across healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, and physician services, including ZeOmega.


Until August 2022, Dr. Peskin served as Executive Medical Director of Population Health at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where he led initiatives focused on physician leadership, value-based care, population health management, clinical quality improvement, healthcare operations, medical education, and scientific communications. He was instrumental in the development and successful implementation of innovative value-based care models that transformed care delivery across New Jersey.


A nationally recognized physician executive, Dr. Peskin is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Serves as at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center  and Course Director for Internal Medicine Grand Rounds. He is also a clinical preceptor at the Eric B. Chandler Health Center, where he teaches internal medicine residents and medical students with a focus on population health, value-based care, and the business of medicine. Dr. Peskin is a founding Board member of the New Jersey Goals of Care Coalition, helping advance statewide initiatives to improve serious illness communication and advance care planning.


Dr. Peskin is a frequent invited speaker at national and regional conferences on topics including value-based care, population health, physician leadership, digital health, healthcare innovation, and payment transformation. He has presented for organizations including the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, the Association for Value-Based Cancer Care, the American College of Physicians, and numerous healthcare systems and industry forums. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Population Health Management.


In recognition of his distinguished career and contributions to internal medicine, Dr. Peskin was elected a Master of the American College of Physicians (MACP) in 2020—one of the highest honors bestowed by the College.


Dr. Peskin earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, and received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
